Muslim Woman

Muslim Woman status does the Quran endows for women. The details are lengthy but their gist is that Islam / Quran calls both man and woman, Zauj (counter part) to each other which means companions.

Muslim Woman: Jihad A Question Today

Tags:
@ 11:20 AM (27 months, 26 days ago)
The concept of Jihad in Islam has been grossly
misunderstood, rather distorted. In the West, where it has
been presented as barbarism, as aggressive use of brute
force. The term militant Islam, which has been in vogue in
the world Press recently, is a follow-up of this very
approach to the fundamental concept of Islam and a
continuation of the old Jihad phobia of the non Muslims.
Jihad means striving utmost to achieve an objective. The
primary objective before the Muslims is establishment of a
social order based on the Quranic fundamental principles.
All efforts to that end fall with in the meaning of Jihad.
Armed fight against formidable resistance by self seeking
people, which is called Qatal is also Jihad and has been
allowed by the Quran. Otherwise, Islam is a Deen of peace
and safety.

Muslim Woman: Rebellion against God

Tags:
@ 01:01 AM (27 months, 28 days ago)

In this universe, man is the only creature who is given
choice and discretion. He may obey the laws of God Almighty
or may not; this discretion isn't given to any other
creature. Man decides to disobey God Almighty laws when his
feelings and emotions overpower him. These emotions
instigate him for personal gains as against universal
good. He bypasses the laws of Allah Almighty and starts
following his Own emotions. At this stage his intellect
manipulates him the ways and means to achieve these
objects. These emotions or feelings and the intellect which
guides such feelings to achieve the objectives are given
the name of Iblis by the Quran allegorically. Because of
this rebellious nature -according to Taj and Lane-, it was
said that he was born out of fire -Quran chapter 7 verse 12-
and since feelings of human beings remain hidden, Iblis /
Satan was also called a Jinn - Quran chapter 18 verse 50-
Jinn means one who is hidden. Along with the feelings or
emotions, the man is also given the discretion by virtue of
which he is capable of disobedience at the time of his birth
and these accompany him through his life span - see Quran
chapter 15 verse 36

Muslim Woman: NIKAH (Marriage) in Islam

Tags:
@ 09:28 PM (28 months, 10 hours ago)
Man and woman agree together to lead married life and this
agreement is called nikah (marriage), and the two parties
accept the responsibilities and obligations and thus live
together as husband and wife. For nikah it is necessary
that both man and woman have attained the age of puberty-
the age of full bloom and strength -Quran chapter 4 verse
6 & Quran chapter 40 verse 67. Nikah /Marriage is not
possible without mutual consent of both the parties in the
presence of at least two witnesses, one from the side of
the man and the other from the side of woman. Men and
women have free choice to marry each other -Quran chapter
4 verse 3- Men have been forbidden to marry women against
their will, they cannot marry -Quran chapter 4 verse 19-
without obtaining consent of women and thus become their
masters instead of companion.  The criterion for selection
of spouse should be the unanimity of ideology and faith in
Islam, and this is the reason why a momin male Believer is
forbidden to marry a mushrika female unbeliever & vice
versa, thus to save home from becoming hell whereas Allah
Almighty wants it to become heaven -Quran chapter 2 verse
221-

Muslim Woman Discuss Muslim Unity

Tags:
@ 11:37 PM (28 months, 3 days ago)

As a cultural movement Islam rejects the old static view of the universe, and reaches a dynamic view. As an emotional system of unification it recognizes the worth of the individual as such, and rejects blood-relationship as a basis of human unity. Blood relationship is earth-rooted ness. The search for a purely psychological foundation of human unity becomes possible only with the perception that all human life is spiritual in its origin. Such a perception is creative of fresh loyalties without any ceremonial to keep them alive, and makes it possible for man to emancipate himself from the earth. Christianity which had originally appeared as a monastic order was tried by Constantine as a system of unification. Its failure to work as such a system drove the Emperor Julian to return to the old gods of Rome on which he attempted to put philosophical interpretations. A modern historian of civilization has thus depicted the state of the civilized world about the time when Islam appeared on the stage of History: It seemed then that the great civilization that it had taken four thousand years to construct was on the verge of disintegration, and that mankind was likely to return to that condition of barbarism where every tribe and sect was against the next, and law and order were unknown . . . The old tribal sanctions had lost their power. Hence the old imperial methods would no longer operate. The new sanctions created by Christianity were working division and destruction instead of unity and order. It was a time fraught with tragedy. Civilization, like a gigantic tree whose foliage had overarched the world and whose branches had borne the golden fruits of art and science and literature, stood tottering, its trunk no longer alive with the flowing sap of devotion and reverence, but rotted to the core, riven by the storms of war, and held together only by the cords of ancient customs and laws, that might snap at any moment. Was there any emotional culture that could be brought in, to gather mankind once more into unity and to save civilization? This culture must be something of a new type, for the old sanctions and ceremonials were dead, and to build up others of the same kind would be the work of centuries.

Struggle Between Right And Wrong

Tags:
@ 03:27 AM (28 months, 6 days ago)

The way of life revealed by Allah Almighty is called Al Deen or Al Islam, provides that whatever gifts this beautiful earth of ours has in store or can produce, should be available to all mankind in an equal manner. There is a section of people, however, who dislike it and would, on the basis of might, control the sources of production, so that they might with-hold God's gifts from His creation and avail of them personally according to their sweet will. The group, opposed as it is to God's way of life Al Islam, places all sorts of hindrances in its establishment among mankind, bringing about, what the Holy Quran describes as a struggle between Right and Wrong. Whereas Islam has unquestioned sway in nature, it has to contend with stiff opposition in human society. Consider the example of a seed sown in the earth. Given the requisite means of growth a healthy and vigorous seed will sprout, the shoot will rise high slowly and a day will come for the tiny little seed to swing as a full fledged and robust tree. The seed has the capacity to grow and attain its destiny.

Muslim Woman: Once a Master

Tags:

There was a time when Muslims were the masters of the earth, controller of the destiny, but today they are on a path of continuous decline.Their Condition is horrible, they face miserable poverty, illiteracy, malnutrition, disease and sickness. There is a feeling of helplessness, hopelessness, and frustration among the Muslims. They are just living, for the sake of living ,without any sense of direction.Neither the rulers, nor the intellectuals of this nation, have any plan, for this huge mass of suffering humanity. It is really painful to see them suffer, despite the best lands, resources, and vast number. It is very important for those, who are concerned about the future of the Ummah, to ponder about as to what is the cause of Muslim decline? What if anything can be done to end this misery.

Muslim Woman: Mankind & Change

Tags:
@ 11:28 PM (28 months, 10 days ago)

The only constant in modern life is change. Our expectation that whatever we possess is doomed to obsolescence has become relentless. And yet invention still comes as a constant surprise. Innovation most often occurs when ideas or things are brought in a way that never happened before the result is greater than the sum of the parts. So what to do! Doubt what is not self-evident and reduce every problem to its simplest components. It is these twin tools of methodical doubt and reductionism that leads to innovation and invention. Then what happens, Look Reductionism encouraged the fragmentation of knowledge under the rubric Learn more and more about less and less. And as the drive to subdivide the natural world into smaller and smaller bits brought the development of the kind of tools needed for the enterprise of invention, disciplines split into sub disciplines and sub-sub disciplines. Its examples are microscopes, telescopes, thermometers, dividing engines and all the other instrumentations for measuring the new data. As a result, isolated in their intellectual silos, scientists and their technological sidekicks literally reduced human knowledge to myriad, mutually incomprehensible pinpoints of niche expertise. No matter how esoteric a matter might be today, somebody, somewhere has spent years getting a PhD in it.

Muslim Woman: God Will & Human Beings

Tags:
@ 01:19 AM (28 months, 12 days ago)

Now, we come to the most important aspect of Allah Almighty Will, that is, Allah's Will in relation to the world of human beings. How does Allah's Will function in the world of human beings? This is the critical question as far as human beings are concerned. Without a proper understanding of this question, it is not possible to find the straight path, Siraat-al-Mustaqeem, we so earnestly seek and so eagerly want, that we ask Allah Almighty to help us find in every raka'a of every prayer. And how does God Almighty respond to this request?: By sending His guidance as a free gift to us in the form of Wahi or Revelation which is more valuable than anything else in the universe. Can there be any better gift to humanity from the Creator of all the worlds? Not only has He given this priceless gift of the Quran but God has also, in this process, raised the status of human beings in the universe to the level of Ashraful Makhlooqat. But this elevated status is not free, we have to earn it. Thus human beings occupy a unique place in the universe. By virtue of possessing a human body, man is part of the material world. Thus, he is as much subject to natural laws as is any other object in the universe. Birth, growth, decay, and death of the human body are natural processes and so are governed by the laws of nature. But man is also endowed with a self or ego which expresses itself as free will, and freedom of choice is inherent in the self. Since the self is a special gift given to mankind by it is not part of the material body of man. Although it uses the body as a vehicle for its expression, it is not bound by space and time and, therefore, not subject to any physical laws. Since the essence of self is freedom of choice, the Divine Will in the sphere of man performs this function as guidance and not control, and human beings are free to accept or reject His guidance. The Quran is very clear on this point: O Messenger Muhammad! proclaim to the entire mankind the truth has come from your Rabb, whoso ever chooses may accept it and whosoever chooses may reject it- Quran Chapter 18 verse 29

Muslim Woman: Un Answered Question

Tags:
@ 03:57 AM (28 months, 14 days ago)
It is fallacious to assume that the man is born free. He takes birth in a given situation without his choice. He takes birth in a certain country and automatically, and without his intent becomes a citizen of that country. A child born to the parents settled in the States would become an American. A child born to the parents settled in Russia would become a Russian. A child born to the parents settled in Pakistan would become a Pakistani. A child born to the parents settled in India would become an Indian. Like wise a child born in a Christian family is nurtured and brought up to become a Christian. A child born in a Hindu family is taught and groomed to become a Hindu. A child born in a "Muslim" family is tutored and trained to become a "Muslim". Each family ensures that the child is conditioned to adopt the faith, culture, social traits, and the language of the family.

Enigma ensnares the man all her/his life, and s/he convincingly believes s/he is born free! Although s/he is not! S/He is born chained in customs, traditions, rituals, and the family traits. S/He goes to the place of worship because as a child s/he saw her/his parents go to the place of worship. S/He despises others because s/he as a child saw her/his parents despise others. S/He assumes her/himself to be the most cultured, enlightened, and brave among the men because s/he thought and behaved like that. The Man remains confounded in the given circumstances. S/He evolves her/his own ethics, and code of conduct to judge the world.

Muslim Woman: What is Eiman or Iman

Tags:

EIMAN Or Faith — to be convinced, to accept, to rely on, or to have confidence in something. This is usually translated as belief or faith, which implies acceptance without proof or argument, and without reference to reason, thought, knowledge, or insight. Faith is generally regarded as the negation of knowledge and reason. It has been said about Kant that, “he found it necessary to deny knowledge in order to make room for faith.”

Muslim Woman: Term Terrorism

Tags:

Acts of terrorism are not confined to Muslims alone. Terrorists come from every religion. But the media often uses the term Islamic terrorists or Islamic terrorism, implying terrorism is associated with Islam. It is our duty as American Muslims to present the true picture of Islam, which is that Islam does not teach terrorism under any circumstances. It forbids killing of innocent civilians. The holy Book of Islam, the Quran, says: "If anyone murders an innocent person ... it will be as if he had murdered the whole of humanity."
