Muslim Woman

Muslim Woman status does the Quran endows for women. The details are lengthy but their gist is that Islam / Quran calls both man and woman, Zauj (counter part) to each other which means companions.

Muslim Woman - Religious Sectarianism In Islam

The vacuum on religious front was filled by Mullah (priest hood in today's islamic perspective)when it is lef alone by the rulers of the muslim states. Majority of them were also insincere to the cause of Islam. Most were interested in strengthening their power and position. Their power grew parallel to the power of the rulers and they gradually evolved into institutions. The heads of these institutions became so powerful, that their ruling became the last word. They created followers and supporters, slowly personality worship started. As they say, two of a trade seldom agree; Interpersonal jealousy and struggle for power among the Mullahs has divided one nation into numerous sects. Through these so called Ulema was introduced in Islam who had reduced Muslims next to nothing. Today every Muslim proudly identifies himself with the titles of Sunni, Shia, Ahle-Hadith, Ahle- Fiqah, Ahle-Quran, Hanfi, Shafi, Malki, Hanbli, Dewbandi Brailwi so on and so forth. Sufis have not lagged behind, they too have hundreds of factions. The rulers and Mullah have fragmented one Ummah into so many sects that there is hardly any hope of reunion in the near future.

Muslim Woman: Failure of Muslim Societies

It is necessary that we Muslims face up to the reality that the Islam that we profess, practise and preach today is not working. And has not worked for a long time. This is true both for our communal life as societies, and our personal lives as individuals. In Muslim countries and communities around the world there is no shortage of mosques and preachers; prayer and fasting are common, millions perform the Hajj every year. Yet most of these societies are rife with corruption and injustice; poverty and illiteracy prevail; sickness and malnutrition are common. It is not just a question of resources; those Muslim countries that are lucky enough to have oil or other natural resources may have avoided some of these problems but face other serious ones (which are also common throughout the Muslim world) : lack of individual freedom and human rights; deep economic and social class divisions; materialism and consumerism; the lower status of women; the alienation of youth, etc.

People who like their religious personaities, are very much attached with their religion emotionally. Their approach is far away from rationality. Such persons, despite of vast study and knowledge, are not able to use their mind freely in matters related to religion. In fact, they are incapable to come out of the darkness of religion. And it is not a new phenomenon. It is happening down through the history. Even prophets had failed to talk to these people and convince them. Quran says about them: "Although they have eyes but see with the eyes of others; they have ears but listen with the ears of others: and they have mind but think with the mind of others. They blindly follow what their ancestors had followed without judging whether it is right or wrong. And, whereas their beliefs and practices do not interfere or affect their daily life, therefore, they do not bother about the consequences of what they believe or follow. They remain satisfied with the status quo and never think about a change.
