Muslim Woman status does the Quran endows for women. The details are lengthy but their gist is that Islam / Quran calls both man and woman, Zauj (counter part) to each other which means companions.

Muslim Woman And Hijab

In a society where purity is demanded of women only and men are exempted, it is useless to talk about women's rights and privileges or responsibilities which are the attributes of the equality demanded by the Quran. According to the Quran the purity of body and soul which is the hallmark of humans has equally demanded from both men and women. If keeping herself chaste is the responsibility of the woman then she has the right to demand this from the men as well. Just as it is incumbent on the woman to keep herself chaste (24:31), it has also been made obligatory for men to keep themselves chaste (24:30). In fact men have been addressed first and women afterwards.

Concept of Life given by Quran

According to the other concept of life, man is something more than his physical body; he has, besides a physical body, a Personality or Self, which no one else in the animal world possesses. Human Personality is neither the outcome of material evolution nor is subject to physical laws. Every babe on birth gets Personality as a gift from God, whether born in a king’s palace or beggar’s hut, in the house of a Brahmin or an out-cast, or of Muslim or non-Muslim parents. The gift is, however, not in a developed form, but in a potential form with realizable possibilities. For the development of human Personality there are God-given laws, as there are laws for the growth of man’s body. If Personality develops according to its laws, it begins to manifest, within human limits what are, in their highest and limitless form, called Divine Attributes. A developed Personality does not disintegrate with the death of man’s body, but lives on and on through further evolutionary stages of life. The purpose of man’s life is the development of his Personality.

The word Quran mean's global, universal announcement and declaration. The gist of Holy Quran teachings is that, an individual subdue their will to the laws of Allah Almighty / God which is in the book Quran. But this kind of obedience doesn't abide due to any fear and force like the fear of tyrants. Here Allah Almighty / God has said that obedience should be come straight from heart. The one who follows according to Quranic definition of obedience is called Muslim and the system which these believers establish is known as Islam.

Jihad means striving utmost to achieve an objective. The primary objective before the Muslims is establishment of a social order based on the Quranic fundamental principles. All efforts to that end fall with in the meaning of Jihad. Armed fight against formidable resistance by self-seeking people, which is called Qatal is also Jihad and has been allowed by the Quran. Otherwise, Islam is a Deen of peace and safety.

Land is a gift of God

In accordance with the Holy Quran, all land is a gift of Allah Almighty, just as are air and sunshine, and should not be owned by any individual any more than air and sunshine should; it ought merely to be made available to everybody in accordance with his needs. Your must understand that Islam is concerned not only with the future bliss of the believers, but also with their present earthly requirements. In accordance with the Holy Koran, it is the responsibility of the state to see that every citizen has all his basic needs: food, clothing, shelter, medicines, and education. Yes: the responsibility of the state! That is a tremendous task, and can be realized only if all the means of production are owned by the state

Ineffective Prayers

To every open-minded person studying the Quran, to every person whose eyes search for those truths which God has unveiled in his book of clear guidance. The Quran, with eternal guidance and unchanging laws, governs the stagnation and destruction or prosperity and success of nations. I believe that the Quran is not only directed towards Muslims, but towards all of humanity. It is the sole solution for its personal and societal problems as well as the ultimate cure for the its pain and difficulties. This belief of mine is not built upon blissful ignorance, rather this belief springs from deep reflection and understanding of the situation based upon reason. It satisfies my search for peace and perfect balance in my heart and mind; a baseless superstition or blind belief cannot not be mistaken for such an internal peace. Always ask a question which strikes a vital reality. Today a very large number of Muslims are praying, fasting, giving zakat, completing hajj, yet they are not receiving the same benefits and successes as did the Muslims in the time of the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, a time in which Muslims did these very same actions. So if this is a reality then how can we revive our prayers and other cardinal practice in its original format ?

Men, God & Religion

Religion is based on a conception of God which is the creation of man's own imagination. There is another conception of God which has been vouchsafed to man through Revelation. According to the revealed conception, God is a Being who controls the entire universe and moves it on to its final destiny in accordance with certain inviolable laws. According to these laws, everything in the universe from its initial stage, grows, develops, and, in time, attains its full stature, like the seed which grows gradually into a huge tree. Man is no exception. There are God's inviolable laws which govern man's development also. According to the revealed conception of God and that conception of God alone can be true which He has given Himself the relationship between man and God comes about through the laws which He has designed for man's development. To understand the Essence of God; and to know what He is, is beyond the scope of human intellect. What we can understand, however, are His laws which pertain to our development. The laws have been preserved in the Holy Quran. Those who follow them develop and go ahead: those who contravene them are deprived of growth like the seed which happens to be buried under hard soil.

Muslim Woman: Woman and Quran

Tags:

However, the Muslim criteria of fixing the status of a woman, or man, are neither these social laws nor this moral code. For the Muslims, there is only one standard under the sky, and that is the book of God, which they profess to believe in. What status does the Quran endows for woman. The details are lengthy, but their gist reminds me of a joke which Allama Iqbal used to relate. He would say, If I were not a Muslim, and I had studied the Quran like an ordinary student, then I would have concluded that this book was written by a woman, who was taking revenge on man, for the usurped rights of her community. If one studies the religions and cultures of the world, it leaves no doubt in one's mind that a woman has been pushed to extreme degradation. On the other hand, in the Quranic study it appears as if she has been favored very much. For a start, the Quran has rejected the common belief that God created men (Adam) first and then woman (Eve) was created out of his rib. By now, you must have understood that according to the Quran, this very concept that human beings were created by a special couple called Adam and Eve, is wrong. The Quran, in effect, presents Adam as the representative of mankind or humanity.
