Muslim Woman status does the Quran endows for women. The details are lengthy but their gist is that Islam / Quran calls both man and woman, Zauj (counter part) to each other which means companions.

International crime is a growing threat in the 21st Century. This crime will rejoin as one of the most dangerous global threats for 21st Century. Even today the growing power and influence of organized groups are the mounting significant threats to the democratic institutions and free market systems. In 10 years (says a study Report), driven by globalization and erosion of state authority, the international criminal threat is most likely to be more diversified. The organized groups of criminals would become a viable alternative to independent brokers by establishing sophisticated networks to facilitate evasion or international sanctions by rogue regimes and/or terrorist groups. Emerging democracies engaged in wide ranging reforms would be the most vulnerable to it.

If one looks at the general picture of the Muslim world today it is hard to find something positive on the horizon. There is political chaos and regional turmoil all over the Muslim world. Muslims seem to have lost control of their affairs. They feel frustrated and helpless. Many Muslim governments are persecuting their people in the name of Islam. Can Muslims hope for a better future under these circumstances?

Mecca or Makkah (in full: Makkah al-Mukkaramah; Arabic) is a city in the Hijaz  region of western Saudi Arabia . It is revered as the holiest site of the Islamic religion, and a pilgrimage to it is required of all Muslims. The Hajj or Haj is the Pilgrimage to Mecca and is the fifth of the "Five Pillars of Islam". Any Muslim who can afford to do so is grateful to make the pilgrimage to Mecca at least once in a lifetime. A Muslim is a believer in or follower of Islam. The word Muslim means one who submits and implies complete submission to the will of God (Allah Almighty). Muslims believe that nature is itself Islamic, since it follows natural laws placed by Allah Almighty. Thus, a Muslim strives to submit to God's instructions every step of the way. The holiest book for Muslims is the Quran, or the 'Koran' in English. Muslims believe the Arabic Quran as the direct revelation of Allah Almighty; translations do exist to other languages but are not regarded as the literal word of God. For Muslims, a pilgrimage to Mecca is required as one of the Five Pillars of the faith.

Every year about three million gather for the major pilgrimage, or Hajj .The Hajj or Haj is the Pilgrimage to Mecca and is the fifth of the "Five Pillars of Islam. The focal point of Mecca is the Kaaba, the "House of God" believed by Muslims to have been built by Abraham peace be upon him and his son Ishmael peace be upon him, and which is covered in a gold-embroidered black fabric. Pilgrims circle the Kaaba seven times and may also try to touch or kiss its cornerstone, the Black Stone the Black Stone (called Al-Hajarul Aswad in Arabic). The importance of Mecca for Muslims is inestimable. A Muslim is a believer in or follower of Islam. The direction of prayer is known as the Qibla. The Kaaba or Kaaba, in the mosque known as Masjid al Haram in Mecca (Makkah), is one of the holy places of Islam. Some have identified Mecca with an ancient city called Bakkah, a place mentioned in surah 3:95 of the Quran. It is said to be the site of the first mosque, and therefore it is by some identified with the city of Mecca.

Muslim Woman - Economics - Religious Vs Secular Arguments

Imams and religious leaders emphasize the importance of Zakat explaining that the economic problems of Muslims would be solved if we start practicing, in earnest, this much-neglected pillar of Islam. Most religious Muslims on the other hand conceive of Zakat as charity. They are content with implementing the religious Shariah and Fiqh that was developed by religious leaders and jurists (Imams and Fuqahaa) more than a thousand years ago. Even with the reality of global economics, many religious Muslims not only do not understand the complexities and underlying dynamics of the Western economic system, but also do not deem it worthwhile or necessary to study and know it in depth. Although many religious Muslims express displeasure with the Western economic system, blaming it for sucking Muslims’ wealth, they themselves do not shy away from trying to profit from it. Many Muslims are heavily involved with stocks, bonds, and other investment instruments offered by this purely capitalistic system, but they continue to expound the benefits of the Shariah.  They hold conferences on Islamic economics in such bastions of capitalism as Harvard University, but fail to see the contradiction.  They twist the Shariah to suit the interests of the rich and the powerful in the name of adaptation to “our times.” They give fatwa's about halal (allowed) and haram (forbidden), identifying halal stocks on Wall Street as opposed to haram interest in banks. One wonders if they really fail to understand that the very interest, which they consider haram, is, in fact, the foundation of capitalism on which stands Wall Street. How can the branch of a tree be halal if its root is haram ?
